S&P LS-1 wiring harness plugs into the engine, trans and computer, then has four wires to hook up. One to the key, one to ground, one to fuel pump and one to starter. Harness comes complete with front and rear O2 sensor plugs for full emission applications.

We mounted the ‘99 LS-1 computer on the passenger side inner fender. This computer is
weather proof and can be mounted inside or outside of the vehicle. Street & Performance reprogrammed the computer with the proper gear ratio and tire diameter.

The type of computer is determined by the wiring harness that is used. You can put a ‘98 harness and computer on a ‘99 up engine or visa versa.

Next the new Street & Performance wiring harness was installed. This harness has all of the connections labeled for easy installation. S&P will custom make a harness to any length. The harness is available for ‘97 up Vettes, ‘98-’02 Camaro/TA and ‘99 up 5.3, 6.0 and even the big block 8.1 engines, manual or automatic transmissions. Shown left is the S&P air cleaner with the built in MAF (mass air flow) sensor. The air cleaner is available for either 3 pin or 5 pin MAF sensors. Air cleaner elements are washable and available in 1 3/4, 2 1/2, 3, and 4 inch widths.
Tighting the clamps to the steam line hose coming out from under the throttle body and tee’d into the upper radiator hose. This is to release hot spots from the upper portions of the heads and to also pass through the bottom of the throttle body to
prevent icing in cold weather. The Grand National radiator and electric fans where used with a adjustable thermostat from S&P to control the fans instead of the computer. The temperature is taken from the bottom of the radiator, so that when the bottom of the radiator reached 170 -185 degrees, the fans are turned on. We also tied into the AC so that when it is turned on it will turn on the fans to pull air through the condenser.

If your exhaust system does not have a provision for the O2 sensors, S&P can provide you with an O2 bun that can be welded into the exhaust. S&P also carries AC Delco sensors for your application. The front O2 sensors are needed in all applications, but full emission vehicles will need the rear O2 sensors located behind the cats.
After fitting the dual exhaust pipe with two Flow Master mufflers,  the exhaust system was removed for S&P to thermal coat it inside and out.
